How to Identify a Synthetic Diamond

This course has been designed to provide you with the essential information needed to identify a Synthetic or Man-made Diamonds which are now becoming more widely available and used within todays Jewellery Industry and Market Place.
During this hands-one 1-day course you will obtain information about rough and faceted material (stones) which will assist your understanding of how much synthetic characteristic you should expect to be able to recognise by using standard Gemmological tools and which factors should alert you to send a Diamond to a principal Gemmological Laboratory for further analysis.
Identifying factors for rough and facteted stones
Obtain a basic understanding of the differences between natural and synthetic stones.

Find out about essential gem identification tools & equipment
Synthetic Diamonds are not to be confused with Imitation Diamonds.
An Imitation Diamond is when a substitute material such as a Cubic Zirconia is used instead of a diamond.
This course has been designed to be a useful for Jewellery Makers, Jewellery Retailers, Gemstone enthusiasts or Buyers.
No previous Diamond or Gemmology knowledge is required.

A large portion of the course fee quoted is paid to the tutor. because, it’s their experience and expertise that you are paying for.
In addition a there is a small fee for arranging your course which is included in the total course fee.
