Kate is an award winning fine jeweller & commercial designer with over 15 years trade experience, who also specialises in assisting UK and international jewellery trade companies and individuals develop their ideas into marketable commercial product designs.

 

In addition to undertaking private commissions, Kate also consults on Design, Trend Analysis and Enterprise and she mentors designers and makers in best creative business practises. Kate has also worked as a professional Jewellery designer with many UK Jewellery Trade companies such as Cookson Gold and has worked on several EU funded creative projects with UK and International partners.

 

Kate is a very experienced tutor who has currently teaches Jewellery techniques and creative business enterprise skills to degree students at Birmingham City University's prestigious School of Jewellery (BCU) and she was also the senior designer at the School’s Jewellery Industry Innovation Centre (JIIC) for several years, before starting her own Jewellery business.

 

As a member of Centrepiece a prestigious designer maker collective based in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, Kate is also responsible guiding their Marketing strategy.
