Invaluable information for Jewellers intending to hand fabricate Jewellery fittings.
These illustrations are taken from Goldsmith Hamish Bowie's Book "Jewellery Making" originally published in 1976 where he provides diagrams for Jewellers that show the patterns and sizes for some popular Jewellery clasps and fittings.
Note: Hamish is currently bringing the content of his book up to-date and will be re-publishing this in the near future.

This Tip of the Trade was generously shared by Hamish Bowie a Goldsmith who has been working in the Jewellery industry as a Goldsmith for over 40 years. He has taught Jewellery skills at the prestigious Birmingham School of Jewellery BCU for many years encouraging students to be the best they can and sharing his extensive repertoire of skills.
