Jewellery Techniques | Experience Day | 1-Day Course
All tutors work are professional jewellers or are jewellery trade specialists who are willing to share their expertise and trade secrets with you.
Wire Weaving is part of the Wireworking family of techniques, historically the most ancient and instinctive way for jewellery to be created, with elements of wire jewellery found in the tombs of Egyptian Pharaohs.
This course has been designed to introduce you to the basic methods for twisting, turning and manipulating wire into beautiful woven designs. You’ll discover how the natural strength and flexibility of metal can be used to create beautiful Wire Weave jewellery without the use of solder or adhesive.
With step-by-step tutor guidance learn basic practical techniques for wrapping, twisting and a simple weave technique for creating beautiful stylish jewellery shapes.
Whilst first practising making several samples in copper wire you will learn; how to manipulate the wire, choose wire size make loops, eye pins, jump rings, frames, make a simple clasp, make drop style earring wires and gain confidence holding and using a variety of wireworking tools.
By the end of this relaxing and enjoyable day you’ll use a combination of the techniques learned throughout to create an elegant piece of Jewellery that captures tiny colourful glass beads.
Course notes and information about suppliers of wire, tools and jewellery fittings/findings are provided by the tutor.
A course of particular interest to those who love embroidery techniques such as Soutache Embroidered Jewellery , anyone can learn and no previous jewellery making experience is required to enjoy this day.

You may choose to make this piece is Fine Silver rather than copper if you wish, there is a small additional charge to be paid direct to the tutor if Fine Silver is chosen.

A large portion of the course fee quoted is paid to the tutor. because, it’s their experience and expertise that you are paying for.
In addition a there is a small fee for arranging your course which is included in the total course fee.
Vat is not applicable

About the Materials
Materials comprising of copper wire and glass beads are included.
Fine Silver - IS NOT included you pay the tutor direct if you choose to use silver on your final piece of finished jewellery.

How to Book
Step 1 : Make an Enquiry
Press the enquiry form button and advise your details on the form provided on the course enquiry page.
If you have a date period in mind for a course, please let us know.
We understand you need more information and we will send you a no obligation email with all course details before you make your booking.
To get the booking process started, please advise a couple of preferred course date options for the tutor to consider.
Once a course date has been agreed by all I will email you an invoice for the course fee. Once this has been paid your course date is fixed permanently in the tutors diary and you will receive a course confirmation email which includes tutor contact details and course locations address etc.
Payment is required in advance by BACS Bank Transfer. (Paypal may be available to overseas students – please ask)
Once you have booked a cancellation fee of £75 per course day will be deducted from your refund if you cancel your course up to and including 14 days prior to the start of the course once your payment has been received.
Cancellations received within 14 days of the course date are not eligible for a refund, however you may rearrange your course for one other date if you wish.
Should we need to cancel your course due to unforeseen tutor circumstances we will refund your course fee in full if we cannot offer a suitable alternative date or tutor.
