Course Description

This course is a powerful call to action If you genuinely care about the impact your Jewellery practise could have on the Environment, People, and the Animal kingdom

To successfully offer Ethical and Sustainable Jewellery to your customers, you need an action plan, and this course provides you with essential guidance from a Goldsmith who has achieved a globally recognised Ethical B-Corp Certification for her small Jewellery brand. Anna did this to support her personal environmental and ethical principles and she is one of very few UK Jewellers who have passed the challenging *B-Corp Ethical Business assessment, to attain the prestigious B-Corp Ethical Certification.

Lean how to be a genuinely ethical and sustainable Jewelelr with tuition from B-Corp Jeweller Anna M.

Anna M

Tutor & Ethical Goldsmith

Obtain a unique opportunity to make a viable plan with the invaluable help of a Goldsmith who has already taken the Ethical & Sustainable pathway for her small Jewellery business.

Why become an Ethical Jeweller?

Because today's environmentally savvy jewellery customers are seriously looking for more than just an “Ethical Jewellery” label to show how serious a brand is about their concerns for future of the Planet.

Customers are now interested in understanding;

How do you as a Jeweller take Ethical responsibility and how exactly is your Jewellery Ethical and Sustainable?

By providing discerning and environmentally aware customers with honest and genuinely credible provenance about your Jewellery practises and your supply chain decisions can give you a powerful sales edge, the potential to help make your brand become a serious contender in the selling and buying Ethical Jewellery phenomenon, and help you build likeminded customer loyalty.

By creating and implementing a credible Ethical and Sustainable Jewellery Business Blueprint plan you also have an important opportunity to make a difference and be one of many taking steps towards change.

Course Content

During your personal course consultancy with Anna, she will share her tips to help you create a blueprint for starting your own journey into Ethics and Sustainability practises and explain how to  provide Ethical Practice provenance for your Jewellery to share with your customers.

You may not wish to undertake a B-Corp Certificate Assessment for your own jewellery business at this point, however Anna’s experience of their challenging ethical assessment programme will be extremely useful in helping you start creating your own Ethical plan of action, an Ethical and Sustainable blueprint for your future actions as a Jeweller.

Creating Jewellery Provenance Certificate

Why create provenance? A dedicated certificate not only provides authentic proof to your customers that you are an Ethical and Sustainable Jeweller, it can provide the following benefits also:

  • Encourages customers to understand more fully about what buying Ethical and Sustainable Jewellery really means and why it is important.

  • Gives customers an Ethical story to share (Environmentally based bragging rights), which are a powerful aid to sales for your Jewellery.

  • Retaining customer loyalty.

  • Providing essential information about the materials you have used, and you could add a value (Sales price) in addition to a sales receipt.

During  the course you will be discussing how to create a Jewellery provenance certificate that in explains to your customers in brief, information about:

  • You and your expertise and why you are an ethical & Sustainable Jeweller.

  • What you do (Bullet point) to claim ethical practices (eg Ethical Jeweller Statement)

  • Where the materials in this piece of Jewellery you are selling  came from (Precious Metals & Gemstones supply line)

  • An explanation of the Hallmarks

  • An image of the Jewellery

  • A dated  record of the sales/retail price

A sample certificate will offer an example.

*What is B-Corp?

B-Corp is the Ethical Certification process for B Lab who are a global non-profit network aiming to transform the global economy to help all people, communities, and the planet, and they are unique in their ability to measure a Company’s entire social and environmental impact.
