Charlotte R | Diamond Industry Specialist & Gemmologist

Charlotte has a wealth of knowledge in the Jewellery Industry originally in Jewellery Retail and then as a First Class Bachelor of Science with Honors in Gemmology.

Now specialising in synthetic diamond identification and natural diamond verification, Charlotte is a freelance gemmological consultant with a strong foundation in the study of gems and their unique characteristics. She works closely with the Natural Diamond Council on their ASSURE initiative, and she is also a member of the Council of Management at the London Diamond Bourse.

Charlotte specialises in diamond verification and pipeline protection (traceability). In particular her expertise lies in distinguishing between synthetic and natural diamonds, ensuring transparency and compliance within the industry.

Charlotte provides expert diamond training that focuses on identifying synthetic diamonds, differentiating them from their natural counterparts using advanced diamond verification instruments. This includes instruction on spectroscopic methods and defect analysis, covering aspects such as diamond treatments and colour-causing mechanisms.

In teaching, Charlotte's extensive specialist knowledge in the area of Diamonds ensures that jewellery industry professionals are equipped to conduct precise and accurate diamond assessments.
