Jewellery Techniques : 1-day Course

All tutors work are professional jewellers or are jewellery trade specialists who are willing to share their expertise and trade secrets.

Pave Microsetting - An Introduction

This course has been designed to introduce you to the techniques for precision Microscopic Pave Stonesetting.

You’ll learn graver/pusher hand skills techniques for Microsetting and the importance of tool preparation and maintenance.

With step-by-step guidance , the tutor will introduce you to the Microscope and other tools that can assist your setting techniques such a rotating vice, tool sharpener and a GRS Gravermax which is a compressed air flex-shaft style pusher/graver which allows for smoother, faster use of traditional stonesetting techniques.

This method of setting requires a great deal of practise to master and this course is designed to be the starting point for those wishing to learn this style of stonesetting.
