How to value Rough Diamonds _online cour

With step-by-step tuition, through discussions and enlarged PowerPoint images, you will be able to observe the tiny details of the stone that map its characteristics.

During the course you will be looking at and discussing a variety of different qualities of rough diamonds to enable you to gain a further understanding about their properties and the impact these may have on the cutting process and you will learn how to use the Rapaport Diamond report to build your own diamond pricing reference system to assist assessing diamonds for value in future.

Session One

Learning about mineral / crystal characteristics of diamond and relating these to the ‘4 Cs’, such as carat weight, shape (features), quality, colour and discuss how a rough diamond’s potential for cutting should also be considered during assessment.

Session Two

Learning the methodology for valuation/pricing best practice, as based around the ‘4 Cs’

This course is suitable for all, and is a particularly good introduction to the subject for those not yet heavily involved in the Diamond Trade.

A follow up course of practical tuition may be useful but it is not essential because the PowerPoint enlarged imagery used in this online course provides students with a microscopic range of views.
