How to Value Jewellery
This hand-on intensive two day of tuition covers the three main areas of practical jewellery valuation and appraisal which are Diamonds, Coloured Gemstones and Metals & Hallmarks.
Course content has been specially designed by an accredited professional Jewellery Valuer to inform the appraisal and valuation methodology to appraise and value all types and ages of Jewellery such as:
Course content also includes infill diamonds and enhanced and synthetically treated stones.
Hallmarks :Also included is learning how to identify Hallmarks, a very important part of the valuation process and for identifying the metals - precious and non-precious - that jewellery is made of. To aid your learning experience information handout sheets will also be supplied for you to keep as a permanent reference source.
During this course you will handle diamonds and coloured gemstones and with step-by-step tutor guidance use standard gemmological equipment to appraise and practise evaluating them.
Once completed this course is designed to be useful and informative to anyone who needs to understand how to value Jewellery and learn more about it. No previous gemmology, jewellery retail or jewellery buying experience is necessary to benefit from any of these days of tuition.
Course notes and a CPD Certificate of Attendance will be provided for each undertaken module and you will have the opportunity to compile working notes which will be explained, practiced and used on all valuations.

What is the course date?
The course date is for you to decide, subject to tutor availability.
Simply enquire about a couple of preferred course date options and we will check the tutor availability for you.
As standard this course takes place in Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.
You may ask for a quote for In-house or Group training.
The tutor may be willing to travel. Travel expenses will be applicable.
Equipment & Materials
Standard Gemmology Equipment and Gem materials for evaluation and appraisal are provided by the tutor.

How to Book
Choose your date
Decide when you might like your course to take place then "Make a Course Enquiry" and advise your details on the form provided.
Payment is required in advance by full payment or by installments via by BACS invoicing.
Once you have booked a cancellation fee of £85 per course day will be deducted from your refund,if you cancel your course up to and including 14 days prior to the start of the course once your payment has been received.
Cancellations received within 14 days of the course date are not eligible for a refund, however you may rearrange your course for one other date if you wish.
Should we need to cancel your course due to unforeseen circumstances we will refund your course fee in full.
