Jewellery Evaluation for Pawnbrokers
This is a course of practical tuition designed to enhance professional practise in Pawnbroking appraisal and evaluation.
An intensive 2-day course has been specially created for Pawnbrokers to help them react successfully to an increasingly wider range of customers, from those with typical jewellery items to those who wish to pawn luxury diamond and gemstone jewellery.
During the course the tutor will provide practical instruction where you will learn step-by-step methods for on-the-spot identification and evaluation. At the end of the course you will have learned methods for effective evaluation techniques in order to avoid costly mistakes in this increasingly complex area.
This hands-on practical course includes:

Identification and pricing methodology for diamonds, coloured gemstones and precious and non-precious metals used in jewellery.

How to identify Hallmarks, a very important part of the valuation process for identifying the metals - precious and non-precious - that jewellery is made of.
To aid your learning experience information handout sheets will also be supplied for you to keep as a permanent reference source.
During the learning process you will handle diamonds and coloured gemstones and with step-by-step tutor guidance, use standard gemmological equipment to appraise and practise evaluating them.

Course content has been specially designed by an accredited professional Jewellery Valuer to inform the appraisal and evaluation methodology needed to give you the skills to evaluate all types of jewellery in order to assign a good fair value.
No previous gemmology, jewellery retail or jewellery buying experience is necessary to benefit from this course.
A CPD Certificate of Attendance will be provided and you will have the opportunity to compile working notes which will be explained, practiced and used in the evaluation learning process.

This course is delivered by an accredited Jewellery Valuation professional and expert and a large portion of the course fee is paid to them and the course fee therefore reflects this expertise.

Course fee payment is required in advanced by BACS Bank Transfer invoice.

​Vat is not applicable
Standard Gemmology Equipment and Gem materials for evaluation and appraisal are provided by the tutor.

Payment Terms
Payment is required in advance and payments are handled safely and securely by BACS Bank Transfer invoicing.

Instalments
Some courses are available to pay in instalments, whereby a non-refundable deposit is required to book your course date. Please ask for details if this is of interest to you.

Once you have booked a * cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund if you cancel your course up to and including 14 days prior to the start of the course once your payment has been received.

Cancellations received within 14 days of the course date are not eligible for a refund, however you may re-arrange your course for one other date if you wish.

Should we need to cancel your course due to unforeseen circumstances we will refund your course fee in full.
