The course was really good.  We covered everything that was planned and tutor Nigel was really good at adjusting the plan for the day depending on my strengths and weaknesses as the emerged. 

Having this course as one on one was really the way to go as I was able to ask lots of questions and really see what was happening with the demonstrations.

It was worthwhile planning in advance what I wanted to cover as we were able to hit the ground running and work out where my current skill level sat so tutor Nigel could focus on tips and tricks to move me on.

I would absolutely recommend this course to another Jeweller I rate it 5* Excellent.

Melanie was an excellent tutor and I believe brought out the best of my albeit elementary skills.

The session was allowed to flow a natural course, as it should for one to one tuition, she (the tutor) was able to guide me on specifics that would not have been as much detailed as if in a tutorial class where all the participants work to a  set pattern.

Melanie certainly gave my confidence a boost and gave me a good direction to pursue to follow my ideas and gain experience.

Darren and I had a wonderful day learning about diamonds. I was really looking forward to the course and the day definitely delivered. We were able to ask questions whilst working and I think that made everything all the more special and unique; bespoke to us and what we wanted.

It was a great day with (tutor) Nick, the workshop is great – full of interesting tools and equipment with a great view too!

The tutor was very welcoming and put me at my ease, 

I already knew the basic concepts of diamond mounting...

- but it was really good to learn the tips and tricks of the trade and how to make a setting for an unusual or irregular shaped stone.

I knew a day wouldn’t be a long time on this technique, years of practice is required...

- but I have a good knowledge base now and more confidence to attempt the designs I had in mind before the course.
